regultar made it worse?

replaced the regulator with a used one. my problem just got even worse? before the battery would charge a little bit riding around but now its just like its not doing. i'll go through and check all my connections and etc. but is there anything else for me to look at besides the stator? yes i know i could have possibly bought a fucked up regulator but who knows. what else can i check?

do you know for a fact its not charging? have you put a voltmeter across the battery while the bikes running? whats the voltage?

i think something is shorting out. my trip resets while i'm riding a bunch.

actually i'm not sure? i just remember switching through the menu odometer, trip, and temp. and noticing that the trip kept going to 0.0 miles. but it shouldn't reset till i manually reset it even if i shut it off?

wait i lie when i turn it over it'll cut out. i'm going out now to check all the connections. there is no reason for my problem to get worse after installing a better part.

stators are expensive :\ for me anyways.

found a wire on the grey harness where the solder broke off. soldered it back on. it got a little bit better it seemed like. but what i really think it needs is just to all be rewired. i think whoever did it jigga rigged it.

well i'm good with wires. could prob take a peak don't know if i can rewire it tho. wires tend to corrode over time you could just have a wire going bad somewhere.

but yeah i'm willing to charge it up over night and then ride it up to lincoln one night for work and then to someone's place if they want to take a peak or i'll pay for your gas to come down here as long as you get good mileage.
