I thought the WS6 didnt start till 98, with the LS1 trans am. I could be wrong though. Just thought WS6 was the 98+ with the ram air and what not.

i believe they first made the WS6 in 96 with the T/A's and the Formulas, both of which have the LT1..
in 98 all the Formulas, T/A's and camaros were upgraded to the LS1 for the v8's. the WS6 packages included the ram air hood and upgraded suspension. Formula WS6's are much more rare than the T/A WS6's. im not sure on any of the other years, but i know that in 97 there were only i think 473 formula WS6's made

Yea, im pretty familiar with the Fbodies. Not so much with Formulas though. Never cared for em as much. But i like the LS1 T/As, so i guess thats when i paid attention to the WS6, lol.

yea i wasnt really a big fan of the firbirds, always kinda been a camaro guy but theres usually alot mor camaros out there and i jus like to be different from everyone else. thats why when i saw this car i justhad to buy it.. ive only seen like 1 or 2 other formula ws6's. took me a whole week of dealin with the dealership on the car. asking price started out at 12,900 i think and i got them down to 8500. some tell me that was kinda high, but then again it is more rare o well, i love the car. i just cant wait till i start workin again so i can get it paid off and start buildin a new motor for it

i found a 97 formula with 66k for less than 7k. i'm still thinking about buying it.

Just a regular Formula? just spend another grand and get a 98+ with a LS1 instead of a LT1

yea, id go with an LS1 deffinatly over the LT1. my cars got the LT1 in it, its a good motor, but the LS1 has alot better performance and economy. i would deffinatly recommend the 6 speed manual too. theyre alot of fun to drive and also good on gas for the car. i get about 25 on the highway/interstate with mine an mines got 107k on it an 20's on it also.

if you realy wanna go crazy get a 98+ WS6..

yea, and fieros are pretty amazing...lol. i used to have an 84 fiero, pretty much jus tore the total crap out of it then sold it for more than i bought it for

I like the 'on the floor' feeling. I had an 86 fastback. They handle pretty good, but once the rear end gets a little on the side, it wants to spin..
