so i finally broke down and had my first race from a dig... well i raced my friend jon in his evo... he killed me off the line but i came back and took him by whatothers said 3 or 3 1/2 cars..... how the hell do people get good launches... i either get out of the whole slow then go for it.. or if i try to launch hard i spin out and my ass end comes out while coming up on one wheel....

see Jason an all wheel drive car will out launch a bike even if its not your gsx vs my r6. and anyways... i have launched my 600 a couple times(everytime i launch i spin my tire but the more times i do it its getting better) but anyways i just rev it up to about 5-6k and get the clutch out just to the point of grabbing, and when the light turns green you have to dump the clutch but slip it just enough so you get a good launch but dont spin to bad. but thats just how i do it i could be completely wrong. lol i know josh drag races his bike he prolly knows the right way to do it.

Be really careful don't just dump the clutch you need to feather it out. If I dump the clutch at even 4k on mine the wheel comes up. Just find yourself a nice flat quiet road and practice launching slow feeding it a bit more RPM each time until you get it down. I am still no pro off the line but I'm getting decent. From a roll is another story i'm evil :twisted:

when i raced the evo i probally launched at 4 grand.... and even with my launch i got it still kinda took me for surprise how fast i got up to speed... he pulled on me hard but by time i had the clutch slipped and was ready to hit second i was already back on his bumper.... so idk i need alot of work on it... so once it warms up i will probally go out for a day and do runs with ir find the right rmp for the hole shot...

sport bikes on speed did a good story on this. they used drag ready zx14's but it was cool seeing him run 9's
