i need to borrow front and rear stands from somebody really badly for a few days. ive got new tires and sprockets i need to get on and dont want to wait a week to have some shipped. let along drop a couple hundred right now.

if ANYONE has some or knows people with them id be willing to pay to use them for a few days and it would be much appreciated.

ya dude i was thinking about rigging them up but id probably knock the bike over trying to pull the rear tire through them. cause that shit would happen to me. but hell if i get too impatient and no one has stands ill probably do it anyway. :)

Jeff puts the jackstands right in front of the axle bolt, which should allow you to get the tire off and be fine. He has done it lots of times.

i just did it tonight, it works fine. you can bring your bike here chet and we can get 'em off in about 20 mins!

i have a GM bike lift. you might need to take the plastics off but then u just harness the bike on it and lift. just like a car jack.
need it?

hmmm i have no plastics so no worry about that. um... will i be able to just lift the front or back on it? i guess i cant picture what ur talking about. but if it would work to do what im doing thatd be awesome! if you dont mind me borrowing it how could i get it from you?

ha you can do it my way. i put a strap on a forklift at work and looped it through my subframe. readjusted the lowering links and sat it back down. it was impressive

Well my supervisor is always around, and the Foreman (who likes to yell at everyone) is always walking around and always pops up when you dont want him to. Also theres usually some Japanese guys walking around watching the lines run.

Im talking about like picking shit up with fork lifts.. throwing things at people/having rubber band fights is different..
