I was outside and saw a couple cop cars going west on Blondo Street from 168th. Didnt think much of it but then I had to drive that road later that night. Saw the front bumper of a car and a motorcycle in the ditch about 200 feet away and paramedics everywhere.

Watched the news later that night a guy riding his bike (remnants looked like gsxr) and hit a car head on. Was thrown from the bike and hit a telephone pole. Paramedics said he died instantly.

This happened 6 blocks from my house. Everyone remember to ride safe.

Not sure how they managed the head on collision. I couldnt get that close to the accident to see what actually happened. The news said head on.

thats the thing, most people who ride bikes have no worries of what they can handle but add in a stupid driver and you get that. thats why i'm not scared about my riding i'm worried about the cars.

good thing newspapers are a better source than the news on TV.

The real story:
Both vehicles traveling west on blondo between 168th and 180th. When the car gets into the left turn lane to make a left into a neighbor hood. For some reason the biker went to pass the car on the left.( went into the oncoming lane) The car proceeded to turn as normal with no knowledge of the bike and the biker clipped the front bumper of the car. Sending him and the bike tumbling. He hit a wooden telephone pole and died instantly. The people in the car are uninjured.
Name of the guy was Ryan Guinn.
Still sad story but I dont know what drove him to pass on that side. I dont see why he didnt stay in the lane he was in.

95gsx- I have had close calls with dumb drivers. I have been merged into and cut off. The worst is probably when a car makes a left in front of you. Always be ready for the dumb fucks in this world. There are a lot of them. :)

Left turns are the worst. I read somewhere that one of the most common motorcycle crashes are vehicles turning left and not seeing the bike.

Agreed left turns are the worst cause drivers are apparently blind

because the bike is small it can seem farther away to the driver

I see the reasoning in that but I think its a bullshit excuse for drivers. People need to fuckin pay attention when they drive. I have been next to the drivers side window of a car and still got merged into. Thats just carelessness.

the best is when they look out their window, see you, and merge into your lane anyway, while flipping you off

happened to my dad more then a few times in AZ

Went out riding today and now every time I see a car wanting to turn left or pull in front of me I flash my brights to make sure they see my ass. Now I just need a louder exhaust...or I could just take mine off.
