Is there anywhere you can see how many miles a tire is rated for? or what is the max amount of miles you can put on a tire?

My rear tire is stock and has 5500ish miles on it, I am planning on going on a 3-4000mile trip, will it make it???

For those of u who know me i ride pretty nice and don't do wheelies or burnouts or anything.

Gosh... I would think you would be fine. Its not like you have a super soft compound tire, and it would suck to put a new tire on just to flatten the middle of it

True, my only feear is getting somewhere then having to put a tire on mid trip and blow a bunch of money.

damn 10,000 miles on a back tire is a shit ton of miles, i always thought they would only last about 6 but i guess if you got decent tread left i dont know why it wouldnt hold up. Id make sure it has like 4/32 of tread left

start the motor, sit on seat. pull in clutch, shift into first, and slowly release the clutch lever.

Well the tire has survived the 2200 mile trip fine and now has about 8400 miles on it. I cut the trip a little shorter than I thought since i was getting scared to have to replace it down there. Plus my ass hurt. It is worn a little flat from all the straight driving but still doing fine so I'm gonna keep it for awhile till it's really dead.

Thanks everybody
