Well finally getting some free time between school/work/ and finishing up my new garage to start working on the trucks.

For those of you that don't know here is a little backstory

So got the front suspension completely off the truck frame tonight. Busy with a test till Wed then gonna strip gas tank and rear suspension, brake lines, and fuel lines off the frame and have it ready to be sand blasted!!! hopefully I will have frame out this weekend or early next week to get coated and back to me for reassembly!!

Interior was stripped completely and it was still a heavy bitch. Goal is end of may for americruise, powdercosting the frame and this broken garage door I have might hurt that. Might have to take a week off work once school is out and have a truck put 2gether party

hitch... so the stock frame coating that was left inside all the boxed areas of the frame melted out when they put it in the oven and i had to pick the frame up yesterday and re blast it this weekend...

work has been little and tedious getting the cab ready to be put back on the frame. Also found out my new body mounts are back ordered till mid august so using the factory ones for now. Hopefully in another week the cab will be on the frame and I can start wiring, YAY!

Got some other work done in the engine bay, but it just disappointed me more. I am discovering a couple bolts that snapped while I was tearing it down and my drill was dead so didn't even mess with trying to get them out. Also swapped brake pedals, tried to swap gas pedals...but they mount different :sillyme: looking forward to other stuff while I was bored and noticed that I have a lot of missing mounting holes from truck to truck.


Hopefully tonight I will get the engine bay completely wired and start putting accessories back in it.

trying to rebuild my ic pump at work today

-Drove over 500 miles over the past week. Its running GREAT! Still need a new intercooler pump, mine isn't pushing much fluid around.

I haven't got the front bumper on until I get the pump issue resolved. Hoping to get a pump out this week and get it tuned.

so took my i/c pump up to omaha last night... and the guy said its working perfect up there. WTF???

got my intercooler pump going tonight. Went to Omaha and finally looked up another Lightning owner. Found out 2 hoses were routed wrong.

ALSO, some jackass who put this truck together didn't get one of the caliper bracket bolts tight and it fell out and under braking would hit the rim.:cry:
Through a combination of zip ties and spare bolts I got back home.

Front bumper is now on, pics tomorrow.

now you know when you put stuff together to tighten bolts as you go. i must have just assumed the brackets were tight

Welp, broke off a traction bar on my way to KCIR this past weekend. Could have been REALLY bad as the front mount broke and was dragging the bar front side down on hwy 2 going 80mph.

Headed back to Lincoln and without the traction bars on there, I noticed a vibration in the truck. Started watching the wheels and it was wobbling back and forth.

Here's whats going on: The rear drivers side wheel will literally blow up with brake dust shortly after cleaning it. So maybe it is stuck and following a warped rotor?? That or I have bad bearings or a bent axle shaft? This rear was supposedly rebuilt before selling it and the person I bought it from told me he'd fix anything that was defective... So I'm not sure where to start.
