Looking at a 06 R6 and wonding if they are good bikes and if$5800 is a good price. It has 3200miles with a GTYR slip on along with flush turn signals and fender eliminator.

oh and if you find the guy who is asking basically nothing for an 06 r6 please beat him in the head. everyone keeps driving down the market value for these bikes and its upsetting the balance.

Well, I don't know R6s too well, but I do know R1s. It is basically a large R6, I really liked it and would always recommend those bikes to everyone.

well bein around all them, riding all of them, and selling them all I would say they are decent bikes. they are really kinda shitty in town cause they don't make power until after 10 grand and I work on a lot of bikes and yamaha is one of the biggest pains! on the other hand they look really cool said to be a chicks bike cause all the girls think they are the coolest looking, they handle amazing and that price is really good

i went from kawi 636 to my r6 and kinda of miss that low end power but thats nothing a 520 conversion can't cure.

Shitty in town because they dont make power before 10g? Its not like you have to race EVERYWHERE, lol. My truck doesnt make power in general, and i drive it everyday, haha. Its still like a l a 1:4 power/weight ratio..

exactly i think they are very tame intown and when you have to go you still get that power people always knock them for it but i have no problems

you could just be like spillman and ride at 12,000 RPM every where you go..

dude dude all you do is twist the throttle lift off then pull up and twist the throttle again and you can wheelie!

jason, hows changin the width of your chain going to cure your no low end power? a 520 has jack to do with power, changing sprockets can.

because usually when you do a 520 on an r6 you change the sprockets and change the chain.

no...when you do a 520 conversion it keeps the sprockets the same but I think your thinking of the quick acceleration kit for bike which gives it a little more low end but will never be like any of the other good bikes like ninjas and rr's! lol and nickels why have all that power but only get tiny bit where you need it! they are a little doggy in low end which sucks coming from riding what he did have...the 636! all around its a awesome track bike cause the power is high and handling is awesome and the price sounds good! it just has a few flaws like any other bike which im sure he wanted to hear.

you have to buy different sprockets on a yami to do a 520 conv.... hence the reason most ppl change their ratios

only yami people understand this pat. duh we got some outcast ninja gsxr nut swingers.
Buy that, its a great deal. Want mid power, 520 conversion. nough said.

that and almost every other bike has to have a sprocket change with 520! sorry just wanted to give the guy good advice not let some yami nut swinger tell only positives cause all bikes have flaws even my ninja...

i use to own an 03 and an 07 R6. they handle very very well. if you wanna take the plastics off to work on it at all they are a real pain in the ass, because there is like 100 different pieces (the newer body like the one your lookin at)... no low or mid range power, but thats not that big of a problem i still found stock to be OK for riding around town, but on the 07 i went down one tooth on the sprocket in front to help a little. the chip controlled throttle seems to be a little touchy. the brakes on both of them seemed really good. if you wanna give lots of girls rides or something ive herd the back seats arent very comfortable... the riders seat is not very comfortable either. that is a pretty good price for that bike, and ive always liked that paint scheme! if your planning on doing any wheelies what so ever i would not suggest getting that bike though.
